Coton Manor Garden

Another garden close by, Coton Manor, was seen today. Jessica had another engagement so we could spend the afternoon exploring this private  garden, which is about 10km from her place.

View of the manor house from the wild flower meadow.
The drive there was through and along rural country roads with very little traffic about and it never ceases to amaze me, when driving into the carpark just how many people are also visiting!  Today wasn't too crowded which was great and we were able to leisurely enjoy the well designed and laid out gardens.
There were many rooms in this 10 acre garden and we followed the suggested route through each. Different seasons have their own highlights such as the bluebell wood in late April, roses mid June to mid July and the wild flower meadow mid June to mid July so for us many of these were past.  Fortunately the herbaceous borders continue flowering throughout the season and were still a picture.

Once again there is plenty of history with this garden and you can read more by clicking on this link Coton          Photos of the blue bells and the wildflower meadow can also be viewed here.
