Journey to Croatia

Wednesday arrived and it was time to pack and leave for the next leg of our trip - Croatia.  Jessica and Andrew were joining us on the first few days.  A 50 minute drive to Luton airport had has there in plenty of time (always best to be early and allow for delays on the M1) so we checked in, went through security and found a pub in the airport for lunch.  An enjoyable way to fill in an hour or two.
The Wizz Air flight was on time and other than very uncomfortable seats, was fine. Border control check and getting our luggage all went smoothly but unfortunately that is where it ended!!!! The taxi Jessica had pre booked failed to turn up. Eventually after several phone calls we finally got someone who then took us to the wrong address!!  In fairness to the driver the information was conflicting. So then we had to walk back 1.7km to the correct place. Our accommodation was a private apartment and so another phone call was needed to get the host to come and check us in.  It was now after 7pm and we were all feeling pretty tired and scratchy.
Fortunately the accommodation, once we got inside, was lovely.  And the views of the ocean from our windows were great. A quick freshen up and then it was out to find a restaurant for a well deserved meal before bed and our trip to Dubrovink the next morning which is another story.

A great view of the moon rising over the sea.

Outside our accommodation early this morning. Not sure if the cat stole the fish or the fisherman felt sorry for it!
